    Have asked these question probably 20 or more times! Show destructive testing do we will know somewhat insurance is going to cost . Next explain how sensitive electric motors are going to hold up while wheel mounted without shocks. Next show us off road testing and that result. Next give us some idea as to replacement costs and feasibility of getting those repair parts in reasonable time. And finally please share severe weather testing results. It sure is quiet! I can't hear anything?

    That’s really great! The only thing I found odd was the way he was using a calk gun to apply adhesive manually and then placing each cell inside, you could tell some of them were crooked. Maybe a better process could be implemented to apply a precise amount of glue and position the cells perfectly. The other thing is the thermal management of the battey, no mention was made on how it is hooked up if it is coolant based or forced air. With NMC batteries you really have to watch the temperature and have a robust way of cooling the cells.

    With the high efficiency of the Aptera, I would prefer an LFP chemistry. Safer from fires, and they have the ability to regularly charge to a higher state of charge. Cheaper too!

    I priced it out and seems to cost about 30% more than I am willing to pay. If the price comes down about 30% I will definitely consider it.

    I love to see a few things for Aptera to do to make it mandatory for me to buy an Aptera. I want to see: 1) how it drives in at least 6 inches of snow; 2) a version that would allow 4 passengers ; 3) self-driving mode. Its recharging and efficiency are its greatest attributes, Add my 3 requests and you have an unbeatable vehicle for many people to want to buy. Maybe they will do this in a similar way that Tesla did, which is to start with a niche type car and then expand based on its success. I would definitely love to buy stock in this company but unfortunately, it is still a private company. PS. What are the maintenance requirements and who will be certified to do it in different parts of the US and globally? This is also a big factor that must be mentioned/addressed to build confidence in purchasing an Aptera. I am 79 and I would hope to buy an Aptera should they fulfill my criteria before I die(LOL), I love the concept of this vehicle. If they make an EVTOL car, they will have the perfect vehicle.

    There's no way that the batteries didn't see any reduction after that wobble test. I really hope they're not fluffing the numbers up, and moreso that the investors aren't having the wool pulled over their eyes because they're invisioning one of these in their driveway. Realistically I'd expect 1-5% at the most after 100k- especially if the driver is really hammering down on it. What kind of 100k are they testing for? Granny driving or teen driving? How aggressive would they be with brakes/acceleration/corners? Are they servicing the vehicle regularly? Again- that lil' wobble test seemed too soft to me. I understand this pack is secure- but I feel like the range of aggressiveness should be wider. Maybe have three packs undergo different validation tests that fall under certain driver archetypes. People are driving these vehicles. Some will baby it and watch for potholes, and some won't give a hoot and hit each one without a second thought.

    One of the problems I have heard with other EVs is that if the battery module is damaged in a crash, the entire car becomes unsalvageable. Will the battery units be easy to replace in the Aptera?

    These are still Litium Ion batteries, don't know if auto insurers will want to cover these vehicles at an auntocycle rate due too thermal run away and last I seen 5,000 vehicles won't get to my place in line in the year 2025 as predicted

    LOVE these technical Updates! That modulelooks AWESOME! 44kwhr pack,, so does that mean 40KWHR usable or 42kwhr useable?? Cause 42kwhr useable would imply 420mile range. :-)

    Handmade prototype at this point ! Not a good sign and definitely not good news for investors/pre-orders. Not seeing any viable progress towards scaling activities for mass market. The logistics effort not demonstrated. Just fluff. Doomed.

      Handmade for the PI vehicles. Which makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint. You don’t set up a line to manufacture the first 10 to 16 batteries for testing/validation.

      @@AndyTernay just snail’s pace. Vietnamese-made Vinfast got $2.5B investment cuz they’re producing AND selling cars here already. I’m only interested in in-wheel progress they may make. Front double wishbone bird wheels will get backed into, sharp sticky-out (ie. delicate) back corners will get crumpled, no real real-estate for serious battery monument, will just be relegated to prissy use - not roadworthy or robust enough for real world. Keep posting piddly progress vids like these and it’ll fizzle in a few more months, maybe a year

    When you say 'balancing' the batteries in series, is it the same thing as conditioning the batteries? I used to take LiPo batteries to the radio repair shop where the tech put them on a conditioner. The computer printed a sticker with its new capacity and date. Usually they would condition to more than a new battery spec at 104-108% of rated charge. When the capacity did degrade enough the battery would be disposed of.

    With existing established battery and BMS provider (CATC, etc), and existing outsource model for other parts, I do not understandd why this company take this assembling approach, except for the show. They fired the battery group lead just not too long ago.

    Are you guys planning on testing that same 100k mile battery module up to 200k or 300k simulated miles? I suspect if there was going to be an issue, it would happen in the first 100k miles, but considering how long these bodies could last, it might be worthwhile to simulate 200 or 300k miles

    Fisker has built vehicles gone bankrupt, risen from the ashes, designed a new vehicle produced vehicles again,and gone bankrupt again and you guys have yet to finalize a single production model and produce anything. it's always just look another pre-production model. build some damn cars. Or go bankrupt again and go away. I've bought a Toyota Camry hybrid put 300,000 Mi on it since you restarted the company and you are still trying to finalize some design and production issues. Produce a car or go away.

As someone with a background in manufacturing (from a different industry) it’s amusing to hear the criticisms which show a lack of understanding of the complexities involved.     Thank you Aptera and Tim for this battery validation footage and information, it's fantastic to see. I used to work for a test laboratory testing window and door products.... some of this involved accelerated weathering with similar characteristics, all to ASTM test methods and specs. As the only employee with electronics background, I also built quite a bit of our custom test equipment and industrial controls.

    I was excited about the Aptera until I saw the the price on the Aptera web site. At over 33K, it is a deal breaker for me for a two seater vehicle.

      The entry level price is projected to be around $26,000 for the 250 mile range with front wheel drive only. The about $33,000 price is for a 400 miler with all wheel drive and full solar.
